How long do you store my documents?

We prioritize your security using encrypted Azure Blob Storage. By default, original and redacted files are automatically deleted after 14 days of inactivity. You can change this to 3, 7, or 14 days, disable automatic deletion, or permanently delete documents at any time.

Do you have an API for developers?

Yes. Our REST API is available on every plan and uses the same page quota as your subscription or credit balance. It lets you integrate automated redaction into your workflows with batch processing, webhooks, and control over redaction parameters.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Where is my data stored and how is it protected?

All data is hosted on Microsoft Azure in Europe with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit. Azure holds SOC 2, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and GDPR certifications. Are my documents used to train AI models?

No. Your documents are never used to train AI models — not ours, not Azure's, not anyone's. The Azure AI services we use for OCR and PII detection are configured with content logging disabled, so document content is not retained or used for model improvement. Only operational telemetry (job duration, page count, status) is collected for service reliability. You retain full ownership of every uploaded file.

What's the difference between real redaction and just drawing a black box over the text?

A black box added in most PDF editors only sits on top of the text — the words underneath can still be copied, searched, or recovered. Redact PDF AI permanently removes the data: we flatten and rasterize the page so there is no hidden text layer and no metadata left behind, making the redaction truly irreversible.
